Spotlight: Drake
Welcome to the Carter’s Crew: Spotlight. We’re going to take a few minutes and get to know some of our cast members. Let’s get started!
CS: So how are you doing today Drake?
DL: Oh doing fantastic!
CS: The audience has read a little about your character Ian in the Crew: Character run down section. Is there something else about the character we may not know?
DL: He definitely is one to look out for his family – which is mainly Elizabeth. He’s a real protective type of guy that doesn’t take too kindly when someone "disses" his sister, or tries to take advantage of her. He doesn’t get wound up very easily but when he does, it’s on.
CS: So, tell me about some of the similarities and differences you have between you and your character. Why do you think you connect to the role of Ian?
DL Similarities: We both love family and we love music, and we definitely both love video games! Difference: Ian is more serious than I am because I’m quite the jokester. He has a sister and all I have are brothers. He’s a better fighter than I am when it comes to martial arts. When it comes to problems Ian tends to bottles things up and hides a lot of his emotions, which I think contributes to his problems. For me, I'm more open about that type of thing. Ian is also the type to keep things that concern him to himself, not to be devious or anything but because he just doesn’t want to worry his sister
CS: Well, you are now officially part of the Crew!! How do you feel about all of this?
DL: I was going to say super excited LOL (the Crew uses that word a lot) so I’ll say I’m super pumped about the experience that the Crew has to offer for me and the audience. I’m excited about the message that we'll be sending out.
CS: Onto another area. Being part of the production means long hours, early mornings and a great deal of work? Does that bother you at all?
DL: No, not at all I’m not intimated by that, being the oldest I’m used to hard work and I’m always up for trying something new. Now the waking up early part (LOL) I’ll have to get used to that! But I know I can do it!
CS: That's right, you can do it! Okay Drake, let’s get to know you a bit more.

CS: What’s your favorite color? Blue
CS: What’s your favorite food? Salad, of all sorts!
CS: What’s your favorite sport? Martial arts, love it!
CS: Favorite Christian artist or band? Wow, I have a lot but I would have to say my fav is MERCY ME.
CS: How has a relationship with the Lord helped your life?
DL:Every day is a wonderful journey as I get know him more and more. I realize that his grace is amazing and all the blessings that he gives are miracles, it’s crazy to see how much he loves us. I’m truly amazed at his love. It’s always good to remember that God is there for you, his love is the one thing that’s never ending...without a doubt he’s the God of second chances.
