Welcome to the Carter’s Crew: Spotlight.
We’re going to chat with Bethany Blair who plays Cassandra, let's get started.
CS: So, how are you doing today Bethany?
BB: I’m doing fine, thanks.
CS: The audience has read a little about your character in the Crew: Character Run Down section. Can you tell us something else about your character that we may not know?
BB: You may not know that Cassandra has an older brother named Elliot. He’s a lot like she is when it comes to attitude. Another thing is, Cassandra is afraid of the dark. When she was younger, around 5 or 6, she was at her family’s cabin in the mountains. She wandered off and wound up completely lost. She would've been lost for quite some time if something hadn't happened that helped her find her way back.
CS: And what took place to help her get back -- the audience will find out in the series!
BB: Yep, oh and Cassandra has a real issue of feeling kind of lost all the time. She dosen’t feel like there’s anyone really there for her – to protect her. That’s where her issue with God comes in to .
CS: So, why do you think you connect to the character so well?
BB: Well, Cassandra loves fashion and so do I! So we have that in common. But everything else in her life, we’re not alike at all. She dosen’t believe in God and I do. Cassandra acts snobby and mean to other people and my philosophy is the more friends the better! I really try to act nice to everyone.
CS: Things are really starting to grow with Carter’s Crew, with our webpage and the series is going into production soon. How do you feel about all of that? What do you think about the fact that people are being introduced to you all over the world because of the internet?
BB: I think it’s neat that people are checking out the website and that we may be able to help people and give advice through our stories.
CS: Speaking of the series— being in the production means early mornings and long hours, does that bother you at all?
BB: Well, I'm not really a morning person, but when its something like this it's okay!

BB: The Lord has really helped me through some difficult times. When I come across people in school that are going through something, I can reach out to them and say; "Hey, I'm proof that God can help you through anything." It also helps me to know what's right and wrong, because people are always trying to pressure you one way or another so...He gives me strength. It's also great to know He loves me!
