Carter's Crew is always on the lookout for talented people with star quality that have a passion for acting. Understanding the commitment of being in a production of this nature is also important - as a great deal of long hours and hard work goes into any production an actor may be involved in. Most importantly we’re searching for actors who have a heart for God; a lifestyle that reflects that - a lifestyle that lives out loud and is not ashamed to "let their light shine" .

REQUIREMENTS FOR ACTORS UNDER 18:
EXTREMELY flexible schedule:
"Well I'm free on Tuesdays." A flexible schedule even during pre-production is a necessity. Below is a list of points to keep in mind before submitting information for an audition.
- Is your schedule packed with numerous after school activities, church activities (such as playing in the youth band) that you are obligated to participate in?
-Are you part of a school athletic team and required to be at practices and games?
-Are you in school or local theatre with a continuous heavy rehearsal and performance schedule?
If you can say yes to any of the above then auditioning for a minor role or participating as an "extra" is the best route. For upcoming auditions we will note wether the role will be a leading, supporting or minor role. (You can find out more on being an extra in the "Industry Tips" section.)
**On-Set Education: Due to the filming and production schedule, lead cast members will be out of school for blocks of time and receive on-set education which is a standard practice in the industry.
Dependable Transportation: When transportation is not provided by the production, cast members must have dependable transportation to get to rehearsals and events in a timely manner.

Note:
** What is on-set education? On-set education occurs when an actor must be out of school for blocks of time due to his or her filming schedule. An actor is taught on location, at the studio or "on-set" by a state certified teacher who ensures the actor is following his or her school curriculum. Generally, this ensures they do not lose school credit or reported as an unexcused absence. The teacher also administers the same tests and quizzes that are required for the actor's class work. Yep,there's always homework - even for actors!
My child is home schooled:
The above information applies to home schooled children as well. The on-set teacher will follow the home- school curriculum and can administer, tests and quizzes etc.
All on-set education will be conducted in accordance to state law.
