From an early age Carter felt a calling. He knew his destiny and that of his friends would be something out of the ordinary. What exactly that was, he never could quite figure out…until now.
A natural leader, Carter’s inner strength and willingness to take a stand is balanced with his compassion for people. He’s not the type to walk away from someone in need. Carter is quick to lend a hand and help whatever way he can. All of these qualities have gained the deep trust and respect of his Crew – people he couldn’t see his life without.
Carter's desire to look out for others, unfortunately, is also his achilles heel. His drive to help others sometimes leads to a Superman-complex, thinking if he doesn't help everyone he's failed, even when the situation is completely out of his control. That’s when the Crew comes to his rescue -- by keeping him from being too hard on himself and reminding him that God is in control.
Carter is quite athletic and enjoys playing a variety of sports like football, soccer, and winter sports such as snowboarding and skiing. He also enjoys relaxing with a good mystery novel or anything by C.S. Lewis.
Just like Selena, Carter can get annoyed with Cassandra's oh-so-snobby ways, but for some reason, the Crew seems to notice he does get a twinkle in his eye when he talks about her.
BEHIND THE SCENES:
NAME: CARSON INGLE
Carson is an industrious young man who loves acting and the area of film production! In his free time he's either editing and producing his own online youth group videos called Life Chapter or putting together a film of his own for film competitions. He recently finished his first film entitled "The Bigger Picture."
Producer Notes:
Whenever you're casting for a lead role it's always a major process. There are many qualities that an actor has to have in order to carry the weight of a lead role. You can have everything in your favor, from the right production team to the right scripts, but if the lead role isn't right, nothing else falls in line.
When Carson auditioned, he had the "leading man" look and acting ability that we were looking for. As the audition process continued, however, we found that he indeed had the "heart" that we were looking for as well. From the beginning we've always wanted the actors we chose to validate the message that our series will bring with their lifestyles and we were firmly convinced that Carson would do just that.
We're excited to see him step into the role of Carter (an extension of himself because they really are so much alike) and see his character come to life!
